Asian Yellow Legged Hornet Alert
The British Beekeepers’ Association has requested that we raise awareness of Asian Hornet incursions into the UK amongst those walking in the countryside. The majority of nests in 2023 being discovered in the Kent area. They are an invasive species and harmful to bees.
Attached is a guide as to how to spot an Asian Hornet, any sightings of which can be logged on the official Asian Hornet Watch App.
