Today’s ramble was a ‘three walks in one special’. Tony DeVoil devised three separate walks from Alkham, a sort of figure of eight plus a bit more to give the option of doing a 7.5 mile walk, and two 5 mile walks, or two out of three, or all three for a total of 17.5 miles, all with plenty of hills!
Had a close encounter with a herd of cows which wasn’t bargained for.
Great to see a couple of new faces during the day. A big thanks to Tony, and to Lee Pickup for backmarking.
My thanks to the 15 who started and those who joined for the second leg.
Not so many thanks for the 5 members who were determined to make me walk the third stage, 
but really well done.
All in all a great day with (as usual) great company, I thoroughly enjoyed it even though getting out of the car was an extreme effort.
